Allison Adams
KCHC Chair
Allison Adams was named President and CEO of the Foundation for a Healthy Kentucky in January 2025.
Allison began her public health career in 2000 as the community health educator for the Buffalo Trace District Health Department. While in her role as health educator she was instrumental in building community partnerships and advocating for health policy with the goal of improving the health status of Mason and Robertson County residents. She was promoted to the District Director for the Buffalo Trace District Health Department in August of 2008. As the Director, she oversaw the operation of a small multicounty health department, ensuring the delivery of a broad range of public health services to 20,000 residents.
Allison believes strongly in the value of good health policy and its influence in disease prevention. While serving as President of the Kentucky Health Department Association, she advocated for and was influential in the passage of Kentucky legislation for transforming Kentucky’s public health system.

Amalia Mendoza
KCHC Coalition Coordinator
Amalia Mendoza joined the Foundation for a Healthy Kentucky in 2013, where she is Senior Program Officer. Throughout her career, Amalia has worked in government and international organizations to improve services to children and youth at risk. For over a decade she served as Program Specialist and Interim Director of the Children’s Mental Health Division of the Minnesota Department of Human Services. She was Technical Assistance Coordinator for the National Technical Assistance Partnership for Child and Family Mental Health in contract with the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). She also worked for the United Nations Development Programme(UNDP). Amalia has a Master’s in Public Affairs from the University of Minnesota and a law degree from the Catholic University of Peru.

Emily Beauregard
Executive Partner Organization
Emily Beauregard became the Executive Director for Kentucky Voices for Health after years of active health coalition membership. Prior to joining Kentucky Voices for Health, Ms. Beauregard served as Director of Planning and Communications at the Kentucky Primary Care Association, where she worked on practice improvement, community development, policy advocacy, and communications with members and policy-makers. She previously served for five years at the Family Health Centers in Louisville as the Health Planner and Refugee Health Coordinator. Ms. Beauregard holds a Master’s degree in Public Health from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
